First Act Youth
First Act Youth Theatre provides a dedicated space for our youth to feel a sense of belonging within the theatre. Our program aims to equip young members with the skills and experiences to carry forward the Carteret Community Theatre. The First Act Board, composed of elected youth members, manages monthly meetings and activities with guidance from three adult advisors. Monthly meetings feature themed lessons and activities, such as Shakespeare-themed improvisation games and crafts. The highlight of the program is the annual youth-run show, where youth take on all roles from directing to producing, supported by adult advisors. Past productions include “The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe” and “Puffs.”

Volunteers
Volunteer opportunities include: Ushers Stagehands Box office assistants Concessions Lights Sound RASP Certification – for those who would like to serve as bartenders Each year we have several fundraisers and special events where volunteers can help with organizing, planning and executing these events for the enjoyment of participants and the continued success of Carteret Community Theatre For more information about volunteer opportunities.
